Enabling HiTA in Your Course

The following instructions assume that your D2L Brightspace administrators have installed the HiTA LTI integration into the D2L Brightspace instance. If they have not, none of these instructions will work.

Placing the Button in Your Course Navbar

  1. To enable HiTA integration for your course, click the three dots ... tab of your course, and there, click Edit This Navbar.

  1. Click Add Links. Note you may need to create a copy of your course navbar.

  1. Click Create Custom Link

  1. Fill in the name with "HiTA" and then click Insert Quicklink:

  1. Select External Learning Tools

  1. You should see an LTI Link with the name "HiTA". Click on it and then it should automatically fill in the URL details for you.

  1. Set the behavior to Same Window and click Create.

  1. You should now see the HiTA Link option in the list of links in the navbar (you may need to refresh the page). Click Add to add it to the navbar.

  1. You should now see the HiTA Link in the Edit Navbar page. Click Save and Close to save the changes.

  1. You should now see the HiTA Link in the navbar of your course.

Now your students will have access to HiTA in your D2L course.
